Waxing 101-Do’s
- Do Exfoliate before you wax. It doesn’t have to be right before your appointment. Either the night before or morning of. Dry-brushing or a sugar scrub works best. This is for body waxing only. Not facial waxing.
- Do wait until your hair is 1/4 inch long. Again, this doesn’t apply to facial waxing.
- Do take a pain reliever if you wish. 30 minutes before your appointment is optimal.
- Do wax every 4-6 weeks. Get those hair growths to meld together.
Waxing 101-Don’ts
- Don’t cancel your appointment if you have your period. I’ve seen so many tampon strings over the years I can practically identify the brands.
- Don’t do strenuous activity post wax. Perspiration can irritate your hair follicles.
- Don’t shave in-between appointments. The goal is to meld your hair growths into one. That’s how you get slower re-growth.
- Don’t forget to re-book.
