Cleansing is an important step in the health of the skin. Cleansers are meant to remove dirt, makeup, and excess pollutants. All too often, cleansers also remove our precious lipidic layer.
There are a couple of things to look for when determining if you’ve got the wrong cleanser. First, if your cleanser is especially foamy it likely contains an ingredient called sodium laureth sulfate which can irritate and strip your skin. If your cleanser requires a toner, it is my belief that particular cleanser is making your skin too alkaline in the cleansing process.
